Question: What proportion of younger children have gotten their COVID vaccine in PG County, Maryland?

Answer: We can calculate the answer to this question using data from CDC’s County Tracker, but it takes a few steps (not shown).  The estimated total population of children ages 5-11 in PG County is ~76,000, of whom ~29,700 have received at least an initial dose.  This equates to ~39% of all children ages 5-11 in PG County at least partially vaccinated.  Turning to the proportion fully vaccinated, as of the beginning of February, ~25% of children ages 5-11 are fully vaccinated.  If you’re interested in other county-level vaccination data by age, you can find it at the link above.  And if you need help with the math, let me know!
