Are cases declining in all states?

Question: I’ve been relieved to see the US on the other side of the latest wave.  Are all states experiencing declines in new cases?

Answer: The US on the whole has witnessed fewer new cases each day since about mid-September.  Of course, the US is a big country and national averages mask state and county-level variations.  Currently, 12 states are experiencing an increase in cases (range: 1% to 36% increase in cases over the last 14-days).  The biggest increases (>20%) are being experienced in five states: Minnesota, North Dakota, Maine, Michigan, and New Hampshire (Figure).
