Question: I volunteer at a museum, helping with the backroom collections. I work with a small team and we are all fully vaccinated. The other day, we learned that one of our team members tested positive for COVID. Do we need to self-quarantine?
Answer: Per CDC’s guidelines, you and your fully vaccinated teammates should closely monitor yourselves for symptoms following the 14-days since your last potential exposure. As long as you remain without symptoms, you do not need to self-quarantine, be restricted from work/volunteering, or test. Even though the risk of infection is low, if you do experience COVID-like symptoms, you should isolate yourself from others and reach out to your healthcare provider to be evaluated for COVID.
