What are the guidelines for international travel among vaccinated folks?\u00a0 Does his workplace quarantine stance align with current guidelines?\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Answer:<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0Based on what you&#8217;ve described, your husband&#8217;s workplace is not\u00a0aligned with current guidelines for international travel (<strong>Figure 1<\/strong>). CDC&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/coronavirus\/2019-ncov\/travelers\/international-travel-during-covid19.html\">guidelines for international travel<\/a>\u00a0(most recently updated on August 25th)\u00a0do NOT recommend quarantine among vaccinated individuals upon\u00a0return from international\u00a0travel.\u00a0 Rather, CDC requires proof of a negative test no more than 3 days prior to arrival in the US, and recommends that: a) travelers get tested (viral test) 3-5 days after travel; b) travelers monitor\u00a0themselves for symptoms, and isolate and test if they develop symptoms; and c) travelers follow state and local recommendations.\u00a0 I checked <a href=\"https:\/\/covid19.nj.gov\/faqs\/nj-information\/travel-and-transportation\/are-there-travel-restrictions-to-or-from-new-jersey\">New Jersey&#8217;s travel\u00a0recommendations<\/a>\u00a0and NJ follows CDC&#8217;s guidelines, reminding us that &#8220;as of May 17, 2021, New Jersey&#8217;s travel advisory is no longer in effect.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Figure 1.
